Whether you’re celebrating a family reunion, planning a wedding, organizing a retreat or just wanting a little together time – Camp Wood YMCA is the perfect place to bring together friends, colleagues and family. We have facilities to accommodate groups of 1 to over 300 and events for half a day or multiple days.
Location: Just two hours southwest of Kansas City on Highway 50 and an hour and a half northeast of Wichita, Camp Wood YMCA is in the heart of the Flint Hills. We’re situated on 630 acres of native prairie grassland encompassing a 19-acre lake, several wooded acres, and a breathtaking view of the Flint Hills.
Staffing: Our facilities are staffed with college-age students who have been part of our summer camp experience. They are highly trained, caring individuals who know the value of the camping experience.
Meals: Camp Wood YMCA offers a full-service meal plan in our dining hall where all you have to do is pick the menu and enjoy the food– camp does all the cooking and clean up. Want to do it yourself? Rent the Jones Lodge kitchen for everything you’ll need (including the kitchen sink). You can go potluck or cook over an open fire.
Lodging: All of our cabins are available to rent. Whether you want a cabin just for you, or the entire extended family, the choice is yours.

AVAILABLE FACILITIES
RITCHIE LODGE
Built in 2009, this heated and air-conditioned building can accommodate up to 300 people in the dining hall and includes three breakout classrooms for smaller groups.

JONES LODGE
One of the original buildings on site, this lodge has one large meeting room, a small meeting room and five bedrooms that can accommodate up to 24 people.
STONE 1- FRAZIER CABIN
Six sleep comfortably in this heated and air-conditioned cabin with a fully furnished kitchen, living space, bathroom and bedroom. This unit includes two queen beds and a fold out couch. Linens are provided.
STONE 2
This two-bedroom unit sleeps six and offers a sitting area, full kitchen and bathroom. This unit includes two queen beds and a futon that folds out. Linens are provided.
CALHOUN HEALTH CENTER
With two separate areas, this unit includes a nurse’s quarters with a double bed and kitchenette and five separate rooms with twin beds to serve groups up to 14 people.
JONES VILLAGE CABINS
(8) Available
Each of these complexes have two, 11-person cabins with one double bed and nine twin-sized bunk beds. They include a shared porch and bathrooms.
QUAD CABINS
(14) Available
These rustic, open-air cabins sleep 10 in bunk beds and are served by the bathhouse.
PLATFORM TENTS
(6) Available
From mid-April to mid-October, these six tents are equipped with bunk beds sleep 10 and are served by the bathhouse.
KOGER HORSE PAVILION
With two heated and air conditioned classrooms, riding area, basketball court and bathrooms, this is a multipurpose building all under one roof.
Hi-Y
Weddings, campfires or seminars – this limestone amphitheater is the perfect place for just about everything.
HUTCHERSON CHAPEL
Talent shows, presentations and other activities take place on the stage in this Y-shaped building.
