Horse Day Camp
Our day camp program is designed for beginning through advanced horse riders. Starting at 8:30 each morning, day campers will get the opportunity to ride and care for Camp Wood YMCA's herd of gentle horses with the help of our experienced team of Wranglers. In addition to riding and instruction time, day campers will also get to sample popular camp programs like swimming and archery before heading home at 5:30 each afternoon. Extended care hours are available from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 5:30-6:15 p.m. for an additional fee of $20/week. On Wednesday night, campers are invited for an overnight "campout" up at the barn (dinner will be provided during the campout, as will the next morning's breakfast). If you don't think your child is ready for a full week of overnight horse camp or your schedule doesn't permit it, Horse Day Camp is a great option!
